Our Projects

1. Kids Math Practice

Computers and Mathematics go hand-in-hand. While there are many ways to learn mathematics, practicing math facts keeps the mind sharp.  Understanding the need for a simple math facts app, Ecode Inc. developed an app and published it in google play store. It was developed with versatility in mind. Following are the special features:
  1. Unlimited problem sets
  2. Number range can be chosen to suit difficulty
  3. Free full-version app that is also ad-free
  4. Addition, subtraction, Multiplication, division
  5. Fractions (proper and improper)
  6. Timer to challenge yourself
  7. Suited for Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5.

2. Personalized Dementia Clock and Companion

The app focusses on personalization to remind Dementia and Alzheimer's patients that they are surrounded by loved ones every time they see the clock. The following are the 3 functions: clock, reminder, navigator.
Screen -1: Personalized Dementia Clock - Shows time, day, time of day. Dementia clock has a black background with white letters. Dementia clock can be personalized by adding patient's name and those who live with them. Reminding the names of the loved ones and relationship passively and constantly through the clock can help Dementia patients remembering family members. Dementia clock calls out their name in every screen along with their caregivers name. For example, “Hello Dad, This is Megan. It is Sunday Morning 10:08 AM” rather than simply showing clock.

Screen 2: Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder: All of the Personalized Dementia clock plus reminders for a one-a-day event, a thrice a day event, and a one time event.

All screens can be personalized. Displaying kids, or grandkids name through personalized screen helps reminding the patients they have that relationship and remember their names as well.

Navigator (screen 3): Wandering is a well known symptom for dementia patients, when the loved one forgets the way to their house. Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder Navigator shows directions when they are away from home automatically. It shows their current position and the location of their home on the screen. The navigator screen has an option to send the GPS coordinates of the wandering patient (phone GPS) to the caregiver. The sms message is already pre filled with the coordinates and phone number of the caregivers. The wandering patient may not have the cognitive ability to tell their caregiver their whereabouts.

Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder (screen 2) also has text to caregiver option to send sms when they complete daily activities so the caregiver is not worried.

All screens have the option to call the caregiver from the screen. It opens the default phone application with the phone number already pre-filled.

The uniqueness is that it also shows how long it has been since the loved one made a call to the caregiver from each screen. Seniors often forget that they called, thereby calling the caregiver every few minutes. Having a clock showing them how long it has been since their last call reminds them of their call.

3. See My Location share My Location (SML2)

See my location share my location (SML2) has more general application. Tech-savvy people can use inbuilt smart phone capabilities for multitude of functions. Using them for simple, however, routine applications such as finding a parked car, navigating in a new city, informing your friend about your location to be picked up at the airport, informing your loved one where you are located (when they don't have internet) can be cumbersome after a tired flight or a tour. If you are a lone hiker or a tourist, you just want to mark some places you visit, so you can remember those memories to relish or to come back - there is no point carrying paper and pencil to jot those locations and memories. SML2 provides solution for all those issues. The applications are limitless; so the main functionalities are:
  1. SMS or Text your GPS location to your friend or family member
  2. Send your GPS location as an email
  3. Save your GPS location for future use. Applications: Car locator, Tour diary etc.
  4. No logins, and no subscriptions - all for less than 4MB size

4. Find Me Track Me

According to WHO, around 50 million people have dementia worldwide; there are nearly 10 million new cases every year. Of the 50 million, nearly 60% living in low- and middle-income countries. Forgetfulness, losing track of time, becoming lost in familiar places are symptoms of early stage Dementia. Wandering is a known symptom, when the patients lose track of a routine walk. Using electronics such as smart phones is one the recommendations in such situations.
Find Me track me is an app that provides comfort for both the caregiver and the patients. Find me track me fills the capability gap in the smart phones; it can repeatedly sends GPS locations of the patients at a defined interval and duration (both set by the user) as the patient goes for a routine walk. The app sends the location as SMS messages (so even in the absence of internet the caregiver can receive the location). SMS can be sent to as many phone numbers as needed (for e.g., son, daughter, siblings etc.). While caregivers know the exact location of loved ones, the patients themselves get confidence that is much needed at the early stages.

Capability: Send SMS or Text the phone's GPS location repetitively at defined interval for a defined duration to one or multiple phones

This app is not available in google play store as play store stopped allowing developers use certain commands that allow automation. However, there is no limitation for private installation. Please send an email to contact@ecodeinc.com for single or multiple phone installations. They are free for Dementia patients and their caregivers.

Automated sms has other applications that need tracking. In such cases, they are available for a nominal charge based on the number of installations. All such revenue goes towards the primary goal: enable young kids learn coding. No officers or board members take salary!
